PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Fourier transform infrared spectrophotometer eliminating the need for repeated background measurement even when resolution is lowered by setting change of measurement parameters after a background power spectrum is created by collecting background interferogram according to preset measurement parameters.SOLUTION: Interferogram data collected by background measurement is stored in storage means 17. If lowering of resolution is caused by setting change of measurement parameters, the data for the range of optical path difference corresponding to the changed resolution is extracted from the interferogram data in the storage means 17 to calculate power spectrum by a Fourier transform processing unit 14. The content of the background interferogram data storage part 17 is then updated and supplied to an absorption spectrum arithmetic unit 16 to thereby eliminate the need for reacquiring the background interferogram. |
