PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an area showing local scattering characteristics of edges of artificial structures or the like to be accurately detected from one radar image.SOLUTION: A radar image processing apparatus includes: an image shift direction determination unit 2 which detects a line or a curve existing in a radar image and determines a shift direction of the radar image in accordance with the direction of the line or the curve; and an image shift coherence map calculation unit 3 which shifts the radar image in the shift direction determined by the image shift direction determination unit 2 and calculates a coherence map between the radar image before the shift and the radar image after the shift. A uniform height gradient target detection unit 4 detects a target having a uniform height gradient, from the coherence map calculated by the image shift coherence map calculation unit 3. |
