PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image capturing lens which is wide-angle and yet has a small F-number and is well corrected for aberrations.SOLUTION: An image capturing lens comprises, in order from the object side, a first lens group G1, an aperture stop St, and a second lens group G2 having positive refractive power. The first lens group G1 comprises an eleventh lens group G11 having negative refractive power and a twelfth lens group G12 having positive refractive power in order from the object side, where the eleventh lens group G11 includes three or more negative lenses and a cemented lens comprising one or more negative lenses and positive lenses in order from the most object side, and the twelfth lens group G12 comprises a cemented lens of a negative lens and a positive lens. Thickness T12 of the twelfth lens group along an optical axis and a focal length f of the entire system satisfy the following conditional expression: 1.5<T12/f<5 ...(1). |
