PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a composition for forming a negative electrode active material layer, the composition having favorable stability.SOLUTION: A production method provided by the present invention is a method for producing a composition for forming a negative electrode active material layer for a battery, the composition including a negative electrode active material, a thickener, a dispersant and water. The production method includes: a dispersant mixing step S10 for mixing a negative electrode active material, a dispersant and water; and a thickener mixing step S20 of, after the dispersant mixing step S10, mixing a thickener and a mixture having been obtained. |
