PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery backup apparatus which can be connected to a backup object such as a vehicle with high reliability and can execute a backup operation with high reliability when a battery is removed.SOLUTION: The battery backup apparatus 1 includes: an impedance detection section 28 that measures electric AC impedance of a backup object; a connection determination section 241 that determines whether or not a connection state electrically connected with the backup object exists, using a measurement value of AC impedance with the impedance detection section 28; and a power supply section 21 that supplies electric power to the backup object, provided that the connection determination section 241 determines a connection state. |
