PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination device for an automatic vending machine reducing assembling man-hours and component cost and having excellent impact resistance.SOLUTION: An illumination device 100 for an automatic vending machine includes: a nearly long box-like light-transmitting unit body 200 extending in the width direction; and an illumination board 300 provide with LED (Light Emitting Diode) 301 elements disposed inside the unit body 200 and emitting light downward. The rear face of the unit body 200 is formed with, integrally with the unit body 200: first locking pieces 230 formed so as to pass first locking holes 33 formed in a back plate 32 and extend toward lower parts of the first locking holes 33 on the rear face side of the back plate 32; and second locking pieces 280 formed so as to pinch the back plate 32 between the second locking pieces 280 and the first locking pieces 230.
