<p>The present invention relates to a shock-absorbing newel post. The present invention includes a housing having an accommodation space inside and a bridge name panel on which a bridge name is carved, on the front surface; a partitioning member installed in the housing to divide the accommodation space in the front and rear directions, into a first shock-absorbing space and a second shock-absorbing space; a first shock-absorbing unit absorbing shock applied from the outside by being installed in the first shock-absorbing space; a pillar which is installed in the second shock-absorbing space of the housing and extended in the vertical direction; and a second shock-absorbing unit absorbing the shock applied from the outside by enclosing the pillar. The shock-absorbing newel post in accordance with the present invention protects a driver in a vehicle when the vehicle collides, by absorbing shock applied from the outside, at multiple stages by the first and second shock-absorbing units and prevents a bridge from being damaged.</p> |
