PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power converter that can determine an open fault of an inrush current suppression resistor short-circuiting switch.SOLUTION: The power converter includes: an inverter 13 for converting DC power from a DC power supply 1 to AC power; an AC filter 14 including an AC filter reactor 15, an AC filter capacitor 16, an inrush current suppression resistor 17 arranged in series with the AC filter capacitor 16, and an inrush current suppression resistor short-circuiting switch 18 arranged in parallel with the inrush current suppression resistor 17, and configured to filter a voltage waveform of the AC power from the inverter 13; a system interconnection switch 20 for outputting the AC power filtered by the AC filter 14 to an AC system power supply; and a control device 22 for determining a fault of the inrush current suppression resistor short-circuiting switch 18 on the basis of a control state of the inrush current suppression resistor short-circuiting switch 18 and a change in an output current from the AC filter 14. |
