PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-place facility inspection device of which the operability is improved.SOLUTION: A high-place facility inspection device 1 comprises: a rod-shaped member 11 of which the distal end portion reaches a facility disposed at a high place exceeding a body length of an inspection worker 8; an imaging apparatus 21 which is mounted in a distal end portion 12 of the rod-shaped member 11 and includes an imaging part 22 for imaging the periphery of the distal end portion to obtain imaging data and a radio transmission/reception part 23 for receiving operation information and transmitting the imaging data by radio; and an inspection monitor 31 including a radio transmission/reception part 32 for transmitting the operation information and receiving the imaging data by radio with the imaging apparatus 21, an operation part 33 which inputs the operation information for the inspection worker 9 to operate the imaging apparatus, and a display part 34 for displaying the received imaging data. The imaging apparatus 21 includes a function for performing imaging in accordance with the operation information transmitted from the inspection monitor 31 by radio. A high-place piping inspection method using the high-place facility inspection device 1 is also disclosed.
