<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite electronic component that is composed of a combination of an ESD protection element and a capacitor, has high static-electricity absorption capability, allows reduction in size and thickness, and is easily manufactured.SOLUTION: A composite electronic component 1 includes a substrate 10 and a function layer 11 formed on the substrate 10. The function layer 11 is formed on the substrate 10, and includes first and second discharge electrodes 15a and 15b facing to each other via a gap G, a first capacitor electrode 18a provided on the same plane as the first and second discharge electrodes 15a and 15b and connected to the second discharge electrode 15b, a static-electricity absorption layer 16 disposed at least between the first and second discharge electrodes 15a and 15b, a dielectric layer 17 formed on an upper surface of the first capacitor electrode 18a, and a second capacitor electrode 18b facing the first capacitor electrode 18a via the dielectric layer 17. The static-electricity absorption layer 16 is a composite of a sea-island structure in which an island-shaped conductive inorganic material is planarly and discontinuously distributed in the dielectric layer 17.</p> |
