<p>#CMT# #/CMT# The system has an acquisition unit (23) collecting a set of temporal measurements including exhaust gas temperature (T495) and air inlet temperature (T12) of a jet engine. A computer (25) calculates reduced temperature (T495r) of exhaust gas corresponding to a chain of measurements, and calculates an abnormality detection indicator (T495cr) according to the reduced temperature of exhaust gas. The computer performs a statistical test on abnormality detection indicator, and analyzes the results of the statistical test to assess the validity of the chain of measurement. #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim is also included for a method for monitoring validity of temperature measurement chain of exhaust gases of a jet engine of an aircraft. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# System for monitoring validity of temperature measurement chain of exhaust gases of a jet engine of an aircraft. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The system reduces the number of false alarms by improving the effectiveness of the temperature measurement chain of exhaust gases without hardware modification and without manual intervention.
