<p>PURPOSE: A secondary battery is provided to improve battery safety when the inner temperature of the secondary battery is rapidly increased by abnormal behavior or penetration of the secondary battery by a needle-like body. CONSTITUTION: A secondary battery(10) comprises one or more pouch(1) which includes a foaming agent. The pouch is mounted on a wide surface of an electrode assembly and/or secondary battery exterior(101). The foaming agent is a material decomposed at 80-150>= and emitting a plurality of gas. The foaming agent is one or more selected from carbonate salt, sulfonylhydrazide compound, carbazide-based compound, and azo compound.</p> |
