The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for transmitting and receiving a signal of a wireless communication system. According to an embodiment of the present invention, provided is a method of transmitting a control signal of a base station, which includes the steps of generating a downlink control information (DCI) including indication information of indicating whether a 256 quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) applied signal is transmitted to a terminal; and transmitting physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) including the DCI.
