COMBUSTION TURBINE IN WHICH COMBUSTION IS INTERMITTENT

The turbine (1) has a combustion chamber (3) with intake valves (2) and an ignition device (18). A turbine unit (4) to which a working gas obtained in the chamber is fed is arranged downstream to the chamber. A flow chamber (5) is axially arranged behind the chamber, between the combustion chamber and the turbine unit. The flow chamber is delimited from the combustion chamber by a flow plate (6) or another turbine unit (7). The flow chamber has valve openings (8) via which air is supplied. An injection nozzle (10) is provided in the flow chamber for supplying fuel e.g. diesel. Combustion turbine e.g. gas turbine and booster turbine, for a drive system of a machine e.g. automobile, aircraft, ship, generator, construction machine and transmission (all claimed). The flow chamber is delimited from the combustion chamber by the flow plate or the turbine unit, so that the turbine has a simple structure, and directly converts the kinetic energy of combustion gases into a rotary movement of the drive system.
