<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide newsprint paper with high opacity and strength and bulkiness by using mechanical pulp made from Japanese cedar wood, which has been difficult to utilize as pulp, as a raw material. <P>SOLUTION: The newsprint paper comprises at least the mechanical pulp and waste paper deinked pulp as raw material pulp. Wood chips of the genus Cryptomeria and wood chips of the genus Pinus are used as the raw material for the mechanical pulp. In the newsprint paper, the blending ratio of the wood chips of the genus Cryptomeria to the wood chips of the genus Pinus is not less than (5:95) and not more than (50:50). The shive content of the mechanical pulp is not less than 0.01% and not ore than 0.075%. The mechanical pulp is preferably subjected to a screening treatment with a screen having a slit width of not less than 0.12 mm and not more than 0.18 mm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
