The present invention relates to a novel peptide for preventing and treating bone diseases. Moreover the present invention relates to a polynucleotide encoding the peptide, to a vector including the polynucleotide, to a host cell transformed by the vector, and to a method for producing the peptide by using the host cell. In addition, the present invention relates to a composition including the novel peptide for treating or preventing bone diseases. The novel peptide according to the present invention causes reduction of the number of osteophage by inducing release of haematopoietic stem cells in bloods to reduce bony invasion caused by the osteophage to control progression of lesions of osteoporosis, and does not cause adverse reactions in the body thereby being safe. The peptide is made up of 15 short amino acids, thus having an effect of relieving symptoms of osteoporosis with lower doses.
