<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition effective for preventing or eliminating obesity or lowering blood glucose level. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided (1) a composition containing a hot water extract from mushrooms belonging to the genus Grifola frondosa, Polyporaceae, Aphyllophorales, Basidiomycetes; (2) a composition containing a low molecular fraction obtained by separating a hot water extract from mushrooms belonging to the genus Grifola frondosa, Polyporaceae, Aphyllophorales, Basidiomycetes with a separation membrane having one in a fraction mol.wt. range of 30,000 to 10,000; and (3) a composition containing ergothioneine, a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof, or a compound which is hydrolyzed to produce the ergothioneine, as a fat-reducing activity ingredient. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
