<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an Nb<SB POS="POST">3</SB>Sn superconducting wire rod which can be mass-produced easily while reducing the weight, and the superconducting characteristics and strength of which can be enhanced. <P>SOLUTION: A precursor 1(precursor for manufacturing Nb<SB POS="POST">3</SB>Sn superconducting wire rod) is used for manufacturing Nb<SB POS="POST">3</SB>Sn superconducting wire rod. The precursor 1 includes a superconducting matrix 2 where a plurality of Nb group filaments composed of a pure Nb or an Nb group alloy are arranged in a bronze matrix 4 (Cu-Sn group alloy), a diffusion barrier layer 6 arranged on the outer periphery of the superconducting matrix 2, a stabilization copper layer 7 arranged on the outer periphery of the diffusion barrier layer 6, and a reinforcement member 8 arranged in the superconducting matrix 2. The reinforcement member 8 is composed of pure Ti or a Ti group alloy. The bronze matrix 4 comes into direct contact with the outer periphery of the reinforcement member 8. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
