<p>The embodiment relates to an electric appliance capable of easily performing a communications reconnection with an external component, and a method of controlling the same. An electric appliance according to an embodiment includes a first communications module connected to a second communications unit of an external component to communicate with the second communications unit and to receive information about an energy fee from the second communications unit; a driving unit operated based on the information about the energy fee; a main control unit for controlling the driving unit based on information received from the first communications module; and an initial input unit provided to perform an input in order to initialize the first communications module, wherein the first communications module includes a first communications unit connected to the second communications unit; and a communications control unit for releasing the connection between the first and second communications units when the initial input unit is input and for reconnecting the first and second communications units to each other.</p> |
