FILLER COMPOSITION, FILLER-CONTAINING RESIN COMPOSITION AND PRODUCTION METHODS FOR THE FILLER COMPOSITION AND THE FILLER-CONTAINING RESIN COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition containing an inorganic fiber excellent in fluid flow characteristics as a filler.SOLUTION: A filler composition comprises an inorganic fiber composed of an inorganic material and spherical silica particles of a volume average particle size of 0.01-5 μm. The presence of the spherical silica particles not only allows easy dispersion of an inorganic fiber in a resin composition but improves handleability of the filler composition itself. The viscosity reduction effect is improved further by carrying out a cracking step of cracking raw silica particles having a volume average particle size of primary particles of 200 nm or smaller to a bulk density of 450 g/L or lower with a jet mill and adding the microparticle material obtained by the cracking step to the filler composition.
