The invention concerns a tyre tread comprising a rubber composition based on at least one butyl rubber present in an amount of more than 80 parts by weight per hundred parts of total elastomer (pce) and less than or equal to 100 pce, a reinforcing filler and a plasticizing system comprising between 5 and 50 pce of at least a first plasticizer compatible with the at least one butyl rubber and having a glass transition temperature of less than -75°C, the mass ratio of the plasticizer system P expressed relative to the mass of the at least one butyl rubber and glass transition temperature Tg P of the plasticizer system expressed in degrees Kelvin complying with the following equation: P X (208 - Tg P ) ÷ Tg P ≥ 0.015. A tread of this type provides the tyre both with low rolling resistance and good grip on wet ground.
