The present invention relates to a method for producing ethylene derivatives by using a quaternary phosphonium iodide or bromide catalyst. According to the method, quaternary phosphonium chloride generated during a reaction is efficiently transformed by the quaternary phosphonium iodide or quaternary phosphonium bromide catalyst; and the quaternary phosphonium iodide or quaternary phosphonium bromide catalyst is recollected to be repeatedly reused for a reaction system. The method includes the steps of: 1) obtaining catalyst residues by concentrating a reaction solution including quaternary phosphonium chloride, quaternary phosphonium iodide, or quaternary phosphonium bromide; 2) transforming the quaternary phosphonium chloride into quaternary phosphonium iodide or quaternary phosphonium bromide; 3) extracting the transformed quaternary phosphonium iodide or quaternary phosphonium bromide with an organic solvent; and 4) precipitating the quaternary phosphonium iodide or quaternary phosphonium bromide catalyst into a solid substance by concentrating the organic solvent. |
