PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas-diffusion electrode base material for a fuel cell, having excellent flooding resistance and dry-up resistance, capability to achieve high electricity generation across a broad temperature range from low temperatures to high temperatures, and excellent mechanical properties, conductivity, and heat transmission.SOLUTION: There are provided a gas-diffusion electrode base material for a fuel cell and a method for producing the gas-diffusion electrode base material for a fuel cell. The gas-diffusion electrode base material for a fuel cell is a gas-diffusion electrode base material including a microporous layer arranged on one surface of an electrode base material that is a porous body. The microporous layer has a hole penetrating through the thickness direction thereof, and the hole is connected to a surface opposite to a surface where the microporous layer is arranged in the electrode base material. |
