PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition useful as a bond coat with a reduced amount of chromium.SOLUTION: The composition includes about 3 to about 7 wt.% chromium, about 10 to about 30 wt.% nickel, about 12 to about 18 wt.% aluminum, about 0.0005 to about 0.15 wt.% yttrium, about 0.0 to about 16 wt.% strengtheners, balance cobalt, and incidental impurities. Also provided is a component 100 including a substrate 200 having at least one layer 210 of the composition applied thereto. |
