PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microorganism having the ability to decompose asphaltene which is difficult to be decomposed by conventional microorganisms.SOLUTION: This invention provides a microorganism having asphaltene decomposing ability and comprising Fusarium lacertarum or Fusarium scirpi, or Fusarium sp. closely related to them, and deposited the with accession number NITE P-1599, and also provides a contaminated soil or contaminated water purification method characterized by supplying the microorganism to contaminated soil or water.
