<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste processing apparatus and a waste processing method having high stirring performance in which fermentation failure is hard to occur, processing time of organic waste for drying and composting can be shortened, and a generation amount of malodorous substances can be lightened.SOLUTION: A waste processing apparatus 1 comprises: a vertical container 2; a rotary shaft 3 provided in the container 2 in a lengthwise direction; a plurality of stirring blades 4 fixed around the rotary shaft 3; and air feeding means 6 for sending outside air into the container 2. The stirring blades 4 are provided linearly from the rotary shaft 3 toward an inner wall side of the container 2 in an extended manner at positions of three stages or more separate from a lower part to an upper part of the rotary shaft 3 by one or more for each stage. Stirring blades of the lowest stage have vent holes 4d communicated with the air feeding means 6, and each stirring blade has an inclined surface with a predetermined inclination angle on a front side in the rotation direction. An inclination angle of blades on the highest stage is less than 90 degrees, and is twice or more an inclination angle of the lowest stage, an inclination angle blades on other than the blades on the highest stage and the lowest stage is the inclination angle or more of the lowest stage and the inclination angle or less of the highest stage.</p> |
