METHOD OF INCREASING THERMAL STABILITY OF THERMO-PLASTIC

Blocked isocyanate compd. used to increase the stability of thermoplastics. 2,4-toluene diisocyanate contg. isocyanate group reacted with active hydrogen compd. at room temperature to produce a stable blocked isocyanate compd., and polybutylene terephthalic acid and nylon 6 mixed thermoplastics 100 weighted % per above blocked isocyanate compd. 0.1-0.5 weight % added at high temperature, then the thermal stability of the thermoplastics was increased. Also, polybutylene terephthalic acid by itself inhibited hydrolysis and allowed good thermal stability, showed enhanced physical properties.
