<p>PURPOSE: An air-conditioner and a control method thereof are provided to increase the distance travelled by air discharged through an air outlet by projecting a louver formed on an air outlet. CONSTITUTION: An air-conditioner comprises a main body, an elevation outlet unit(100), an elevating mechanism, a louver, and a mechanism for moving a louver forward and backward. The main body comprises an air inlet. An opening is formed on the upper side of the main body. The elevation outlet rises through the opening. The elevating mechanism raises the elevation outlet. The louver is discharged through the air outlet of the elevation outlet unit or is inserted into the elevation outlet unit.</p> |
