<p>Disclosed are a beamforming apparatus and method capable of outputting an accurate beam pattern. The beamforming apparatus comprises a signal input unit outputting an input signal to n (n is a natural number) number of pass units, a determining unit determining m (m is a natural number) number of pattern directions based on the number of set patterns in relation to signals output from the n number of pass units, and a control unit determining at least one control value among a phse control value and a gain control value with respect to the signals from the n number of pass units in association with the m number of determined pattern directions, storing the determined control value in a database, and outputting a beam pattern determined according to the control value.</p> |
