<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circulating fluidized-bed gasification system which can stably respond to the change in the required amount of a gasification gas by a gasified gas utilizing apparatus, and the change in the required amount of steam for steam-utilizing apparatus while maintaining the gasification efficiency and the installation operation efficiency in an optimum condition. <P>SOLUTION: When the gasification rate is kept at an optimum, and when the retention time of a raw material in a gasification furnace and the amount of steam supplied to the gasification furnace are set to be variable, the balancing amounts for the amount of the raw material supplied to the gasification furnace 1, the generated amount of the gasification gas and the generated amount of steam are obtained in advance. The amount of the raw material corresponding to a specified required amount 24 of the gasification gas is supplied to the gasification furnace, and the retention time of the raw material in the gasification furnace and the amount of steam for gasification are controlled. Air is supplied in an amount sufficient for combustion of char supplied from the gasification furnace to a combustion furnace 2. Water is supplied in an amount sufficient for the recovery of waste heat of a combustion gas 4 from the combustion furnace to a waste heat-recovering boiler 16.
