<p>The invention relates to a seat belt presenter, designed to fit a standard 3 point seat belt in a vehicle or car, and a system for locating the seat belt and presenting it to the seated user enabling ease of connection of the seat belt buckle to the locking position. The seat belt presenter has main body 1 having two moulded segments 2, guide roller 3, connecting cord 4, location hub 5 and small handle 6. The device is connectable to a seat belt by means of removable roller 3 held in position by the natural spring of moulded elements 2. The device fixes around the belt by removing the roller, placing the belt into the aperture and then replacing the roller. In operation, pull handle 6 is removed from hub 5 and pulled in a forward motion, bringing the seat belt from its rearward position to a point where it can be accessed by the occupant. Hub 5 may be attached to a vehicle seat using a self adhesive pad (19). The invention allows users with mobility issues to access the seat belt without applying additional pressure to the spine.</p> |
