A protective helmet, including: a shell (2) having a left lateral portion (8), a right lateral portion, (8) and a longitudinal plane of symmetry (P), wherein an opening (12) or orifice is formed in at least one of the left lateral portion and the right portion; and a lighting device (22), including: at least one module (23, 24) including a housing (25) having a front wall (28) that is substantially transparent and at least one light source (31, 32) positioned facing the front wall; and an electrical power supply device (37) and an electronic control device (35) connected to the at least one light source and positioned in at least one housing mounted on the shell; wherein the module is further configured to be positioned at least partially in the opening or orifice of the at least one lateral portion of the shell, and wherein a rear part of the module is at least partially positioned inside the shell and a front part of the module is at least partially positioned outside the shell, such that the at least one light source can emit a beam (51, 52) toward the outside of the shell. A lighting device is also disclosed. |
