Provided are a portable terminal, a display device, and a content sharing method thereof. The content sharing method of the portable terminal comprises the steps of: connecting a communications with the display device; receiving a content sharing request from the display device when the portable terminal is authenticated from the display device; extracting at least one content of multiple sets of content in the portable terminal by a preset condition; and transmitting the extracted content to the display device.
