A folding agricultural implement with large operating width, particularly a soil cultivation implement having a centre frame (1, 5), wing sections (6, 6') which are pivotably mounted on opposite sides of the centre frame (1, 5) and movable between a folded out field working position, in which they extend outwards, and a folded in transport position in the region of the centre frame (1, 5). Both wing sections (6, 6') with the respective inner ends thereof are hinged to the centre frame by means of articulations, the axes of articulation of which run in the direction of travel (12), wherein the wing sections (6, 6') consist of a plurality of sections (7, 7', 8, 8', 9, 9') which are movably connected to one another. In order to propose improved folding options with due consideration for the legally prescribed maximum dimensions for transporting implements with large operating widths on public paths and roads, said operating widths being larger than those known, it is proposed that each wing section (6, 6') consists of three sections, that the axes of articulation run between the centre frame (1, 5) and the first section (7, 7') and the axes of articulation run between the first (7, 7') and the second section (8, 8') in the direction of travel (12), that the respective axis of articulation runs between the second (8, 8') and the third section (9, 9') in the field working position of the sections at least almost vertically. |
