The present invention relates to an improved parasol apparatus which makes it easy and convenient to change a shielding direction according to sunlight direction and facilitates installation and movability. A parasol apparatus (100) of the present invention comprises a support rod (2) configured by connecting an upper support tube (4) and a lower support tube (6) through a link joint portion (10). A parasol umbrella (8) is assembled to the upper support tube (4). The link joint portion (10) of the support rod (2) is configured such that a wheel (14) of one side of the upper and lower support tubes (4 and 6), which has latch holes (16) concentrically arranged, is shaft-connected to a shaft base (12) of the other side, and an operation lever (20), which has a latch pin (18) hooked to the latch holes (16), is lever shaft-installed on the shaft base (12). The latch pin (18) of the operation lever (20) is selectively hooked to the latch holes (16) concentrically arranged to allow the upper support tube (4) equipped with the parasol umbrella (8) to stand or lie on its side. Therefore, since a user can very easily and conveniently tilt the support rod (2) only by using the operation lever (20), a change in shading direction can be easily performed according to a solar altitude. |
