<p>The present invention relates to an authentication system using location symbols and a method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a system performs user authentication through a certificate authority computer connected by using a user terminal. The certificate authority computer includes: an authentication processing unit configured to receive user information and location symbol data transmitted from the user terminal and to process user authentication; a user information management unit configured to provide an authentication symbol for a user to the authentication processing unit; and a matrix management unit configured to provide single matrix data with a plurality of location symbols arranged to the user terminal and the authentication processing unit. The authentication processing unit processes user authentication by comparing location symbol data, which is generated by using the single matrix data transmitted from the user terminal and the authentication symbol for the user, with location symbol data extracted by using the single matrix data, and the authentication symbol for the user provided by the user information management unit.</p> |
