The present invention relates to a data analysis apparatus, a data analysis method thereof, and a storage medium for storing a data analysis program. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a data analysis method comprises the steps of: receiving information on a researcher and the technical field thereof; extracting, from at least one resource, object information related to the researcher or object relation information indicating the relation between object information related to the researcher; calculating competency indexes according to research results of the researcher based on the extracted object information or object relation information; and visualizing and displaying the calculated competency indexes.
