<p>An array substrate of an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device and a fabricating method thereof are provided to form a protection layer on a surface of a source and drain electrode and a semiconductor layer selectively so that a mask process for pattering a protection layer may not be necessary. An array substrate of an LCD device comprises data wires(130), a thin film transistor, a nitride metal layer and a pixel electrode. The data wires define a pixel region by being crossed with gate wires(120) perpendicularly. The thin film transistor includes a gate electrode, a gate insulating film, a semiconductor layer and a drain electrode. The nitride metal layer is formed on the surface of the source and drain electrode.</p> |
