PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiring box capable of maintaining a fire resistant structure while surely preventing trouble which may cause an insulation defect, electric leakage and a short-circuited state and may also cause a fire, caused by piercing a wire inserted into a wiring box body with a machine screw even when the machine screw is threaded into a machine screw hole of a cover for mounting a wiring instrument.SOLUTION: The wiring box comprises: a metallic wiring box body with which any one or both of a cable insertion hole and a knock hole for forming the cable insertion hole are formed on a sidewall; a cover part for mounting a wiring instrument to the wiring box, which is mounted over an upper opening of the wiring box body integrally or in a fixed state and includes a mounting part of which the lower end portion is inverse-chevron-shaped; a protrusion which is formed on a bottom face of the wiring box body correspondingly to the mounting part of the cover part and of which the top face protrudes in a chevron shape; and a cover cylinder of which the lower end portion is locked by the protrusion and the upper end portion is locked to the mounting part of the cover part. |
