PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor light-emitting element having a light extraction layer excellent in heat resistance and crack resistance.SOLUTION: The semiconductor light-emitting element includes: a semiconductor layer containing a light-emitting layer; a transparent conductive layer formed on the semiconductor layer; and a light extraction layer formed on at least part of a surface of the transparent conductive layer. The light extraction layer is composed of a metal oxide containing fine particles having primary particle sizes of 1 to 50 nm.
