PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a motor for outputting force to an axle and to secure sufficient drive force in traveling of a hybrid vehicle toward a backing direction.SOLUTION: When the hybrid vehicle starts in a backing direction on a flat road, output torque of a motor MG3 is limited by upper limit torque Tm3lim which is set to a first value T1 determined in advance. The upper limit torque Tm3lim is set to a second value T2 larger than the first value T1 (step S100, step S150) when satisfying a condition that an engine 22 is subjected to load operation when the hybrid vehicle is traveling in the backing direction, thereby limitation of the output torque of the motor MG3 is relaxed. |
