PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strengthened glass plate scribing method in which, when cutting out an effective surface part having an outer peripheral contour having a curve from a strengthened glass plate, it is possible to suppress the occurrence of a cutting remainder in the effective surface part.SOLUTION: A reinforced glass plate scribing method forms a scribe line S for cutting a reinforced glass plate G into an effective surface part Ga and an ineffective surface part Gb, by running a scribe wheel H along a cutting-scheduled line CL of a closed loop shape providing a boundary between the effective surface part Ga having an outer peripheral contour containing a curve and the ineffective surface part Gb enclosing the effective surface part Ga. In the reinforced glass plate scribing method, a preliminary scribe line RS to merge smoothly while curving from the ineffective surface part Gb into the cutting-scheduled line CL is formed, and then a scribe line S is formed while overlying the preliminary scribe line RS. |
