<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance light extraction efficiency of an organic light-emitting element.SOLUTION: In an organic light-emitting element including a transparent electrode layer, an organic layer including a luminous layer, a dielectric layer in contact with at least the transparent electrode layer and organic layer, and a metal electrode layer, a laminate of the transparent electrode layer and organic layer and the dielectric layer form a sea-island structure in a plane including the dielectric layer and laminate. When the direction of the metal electrode layer is the upper side in the vertical cross-section of the organic light-emitting element, the uppermost side position in the upper surface of the dielectric layer is located on the upper side of the lowermost position in the upper surface of the luminous layer in the organic layer on the transparent electrode. The refractive index nof the dielectric layer is smaller than that nof the organic layer (n<n), and also smaller than that nof the transparent electrode layer (n<n).</p> |
