PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a volume of a recording medium required for recording data per single page sheet to be recorded by a hologram recording device.SOLUTION: Provided are: a holding part 50 that holds a recording medium 40; a light source; a signal light optical system 20 that condenses signal light generated by a condenser lens system 23 as a parallel ray flux on a recording layer 41 of the recording medium 40; and a reference light optical system. The condenser lens system 23 and the holding part 50 are relatively aligned mutually so that an amount of penetration of a condenser lens system 23's focus into the recording medium 40 along an optical axis direction falls within a target range. The target range of the amount of penetration is a range of the amount of penetration when each distribution range along an extension direction of the recording medium 40 of each optical path of each of rays (Q1 to Q11, V1 to V11 and T1 to T11) included in each of ray fluxes (S1 to S11) in the parallel ray flux traversing a recording layer 41 through the condenser lens system 23 is included in a reference distribution range along the extension direction of a reference area where the most off-axis ray flux S1 on a lower side traverses the recording layer 41 through the condenser lens system 23. |
