The present invention relates to an apparatus for reproducing hologram data and a method thereof. According to the present invention, the apparatus for reproducing the hologram data comprises: a CCD which captures an image of diffracted light corresponding to a data page from a recording medium to which reference light is irradiated; an operation unit which calculates an optimal critical value by applying a fitness function (Fit), which detects the number of error bits of the data page corresponding to the diffracted light, to a genetic algorithm; a control unit which determines an output value of each of pixels of the data page, based on the calculated optimal critical value; and a decoding unit which decodes reproduction data according to the determined output value of each of the pixels to output the decoded data. Thus, a bit error rate can be minimized to precisely reproduce hologram data. |
