PURPOSE:To provide a printing restoring device characterized by that the interval between nozzles corresponding to respective colors is made narrow to enhance printing quality, flow velocity is increased by sucking inks at every colors to achieve good printing restoration and a simple passage opening and closing mechanism is provided. CONSTITUTION:A recording head 1 having a plurality of nozzles corresponding to respective colors, the single capping member 8 sealing the front of the recording head 1 and the quantitative suction type pumping means communicating with the capping member 8 are provided and an opening and closing valve means is provided to the passage allowing an ink cartridge 4 to communicate with the recording head 1. Since the positional shift of nozzle orifices between respective colors can be suppressed, the color shift on a recording medium is reduced and good printing quality can be obtained. Since ink can be sucked from the recording head at every color by providing the valve means opening and closing the passage, the flow velocity of ink on the recording head side can be increased as compared with a case simultaneously sucking inks at every colors and, as a result, printing restoring properties can be enhanced. |
