A RS frame decoder configures an RS frame with symbol-decoded mobile service data, and performs RS decoding based on a transmitting parameter to correct an error occurring in the mobile service data, wherein the RS frame includes at least one data packet for the mobile service data, an RS parity created based on at least one data packet, and a CRS checksum created based on the at least one data packet and the RS parity. A de-randomizer de-randomizes the RS-decoded mobile service data. In addition, a decoder extracts a parameter from an audio stream included in the de-randomized mobile service data, and decodes the extracted parameter to recover an audio signal in an extended area.
