The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition comprising: (i) at least one oxide of an alkaline earth metal (ii) at least one metal soap, preferably a metal salt of C10-30 fatty acid, and (iii) an aqueous phase. The cosmetic composition according to the present invention can provide a long- wear effect, especially a long- wear makeup effect.
