PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce electromagnetic noise by designing any arbitrary frequency distribution property within a selected carrier frequency selection range.SOLUTION: A setting section of a power conversion device randomly sets a duration time and sets any one of a plurality of carrier frequencies different from each other as a preset carrier frequency. A carrier generating section generates a carrier of the predetermined preset carrier frequency for the predetermined duration time. A PWM signal generating section generates a PWM signal on the basis of the carrier generated in the carrier generating section, and a power converting section performs power conversion on the basis of the generated PWM signal and supplies power to a load.
