<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the air bag's performance of restraining an occupant in a driver seat at the time of a fine lap collision or an oblique collision.SOLUTION: An air bag device 10 for a driver seat includes: an air bag 12 which is stored in a pad part 30 of a steering wheel 24 and receives supply of a gas for expansion to inflate and expand between the steering wheel 24 and a driver seat occupant 28 at the time of a vehicle collision; and an inflator 22 which generates the gas. The air bag 12 includes sub bags 16, 18 (auxiliary inflation parts) which inflate to the vehicle front side so as to enter into spaces 36, 38 formed between a rim 26 of the steering wheel 24 and a spoke 32 in conjunction with inflation and expansion of the air bag 12.</p> |
